Finally,Jhooti ended last night leaving us in awe. It's another drama with a different story, that's why I took interest in it. It shed light on the dark characters of the society who don't get exposed easily. Somehow, they manage to hide their hideous real faces and weave the net of conspiracies against the innocents. But yes, they have to pay a heavy price for their deeds here or hereafter!
Nirma, All Rounder Evil:
She knows how to befool others with her crocodile tears and by misinterpreting the facts. Her first victim was her bhabi, Zubia. Nirma distorted her image in the home to such an extent that she felt miserable and disgusted. Her kindness became her weakness and she couldn't handle the wickedness of Nirma. Nirma even committed a heinous crime by depriving her other bhabi of the coming 'bundle of joy' just to spoil Zubia's image in the eyes of the family.
Then there comes a loving character, Ahmad who is badly exploited by Nirma. She played the same tricks with that family and defamed them for her materialistic pursuits.
Samina, Et Tu, Brute?
It's rightly said, 'Sometimes friends are like pennies, two-faced and worthless'. Samina is the one who provoked Nirma to continue her evil journey. Moreover, in the end, she betrayed her and stabbed in her back by running away with her husband, Ali. That last scene just reminded me of the play, 'Julius Caesar' by Shakespeare where Julius was betrayed and assassinated by his friend.
Ali, the Epitome of Fraud :
A couple of months back I came across some posts on Facebook where some fraud men were exposed who married many women and ran away with their money. Afterward, 'Jhooti' presented that kind of jhoota. I appreciate this drama because it will open the eyes of the parents and they will seriously inquire about the suitors for the sake of their daughters' future.
A Deep Message :
In a nutshell, I would say that the drama was very near to reality and it showed us the other side of the coin. Although Nirma's condition was pathetic in the end, she earned that herself. I'm glad that 'Jhooti' conveyed a very powerful message to the audience that they must not trust anyone blindly. The drama showed us some real faces of the society; a manipulative daughter, a clever daughter-in-law, a fraud husband, a flattering suitor, and a deceptive friend.
