Live Your Dreams

“The graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry out their dream.”

― Les Brown

Life is not an endless journey that you can keep on going. It does not function as a pencil that you can erase the mistakes easily. It does not provide a guideline that can be followed. You have to explore the forest of options and make the choice that would be the best. Dreaming needs courage and the courage takes you to the land of treasures!

Making choice is not that easy as you have to take a stand. The world is full of critics. Only those soar high who do not pay heed to useless and destructive criticism. The first step is always difficult to take because the teasing voices, laughing faces, and cynical comments try to break the dreamer.

It is rightly said that the smooth roads never make expert drivers. One has to pay a heavy price to fulfil one’s dreams. There are many obstacles on the road to success but the determined ones reach the destination. Persistence and passion are key elements to cope with the unfavorable circumstances. If you believe in yourself, you will get what you want.

The example of Mrs. Smith is apt to share here. She got married at an early age with a mind full of thoughts and eyes full of dreams. She had a passion to become an entrepreneur. Her husband never favored her ideas. He used to laugh hard at her endeavors to an extent that she stopped sharing. Everybody around her told about the strategies to be a great housewife. Her kids and domestic life engaged her by pushing away her creative ideas. She started to feel drained out. Her decision-making power was suppressed and she started to rely on others for even pettiest decisions. Life hit hard. Her husband died in a car accident. She had no other choice but to work for her kids. At that moment, she had lost all passion for entrepreneurship and her so-called well-wishers convinced her to opt for a 7 to 3 job. She gave up! When someone becomes a puppet in the hands of others, nothing can lead one to the challenging road of success.

Ears need to be shut to avoid unpleasant voices. No voice should be given too importance to become a distraction for you. The only voice that is worth to be listened is your inner voice.

To be successful, you have to accept the uninvited challenges that come along. As soon as you start chasing your passion, you get the courage to pursue dreams. Even if you are ridiculed for your high ambitions, you must not be scared of taking risks. Otherwise, you will have to settle for the ordinary.
