Away, away, from men and towns,
To the wild wood and the downs—
To the silent wilderness
Where the soul need not repress
Its music lest it should not find
An echo in another's mind,
While the touch of Nature's art
Harmonizes heart to heart.
-P.B.Shelley
My heart is at peace when I am close to Nature. I do not have words to express those unique feelings, but maybe I could show a glimpse of what I go through. I wonder if everyone feels like that or only the poets, writers and artists have some beautiful deep connection with Nature.
During all these years, I have noticed that the extended-stay within four walls sucks my energy and my mental health gets affected. Whenever I get a chance to breathe in fresh air or look at the cheerful green colour of Nature, I feel ecstatic.
I love to walk on the wet road and smell the petrichor- the earthy aroma after a rain shower. I observe the raindrops hanging on the leaves and flowers, enjoying their crystal beauty. With closed eyes, open wide arms, barefoot, I move slowly showering in the rain. That moment takes me to another world full of serenity, and I wish to keep my eyes closed for good. There is distance of a few moments between fantasy and reality.
My visits to the beach are as valuable as a treasure to me. Water speaks its language that is fierce like emotions and delicate like feelings. If it is daylight, the water shines as if it is showcasing thousands of pearls, and my eyes are unable to look in any other direction. My fingers move in wet sand, connecting my heart more to it. Under the spell of the sea, I feel hypnotized. The waves moving to and fro revive the memories that are difficult to unpack usually. At night, it creates a mesmerizing triangular attraction; the moon, the sea and I.
Sometimes, I feel this love of Nature is in my genes. Since my childhood, I have been observing my father growing flowers and plants, nurturing and protecting them like a treasure. His eyes sparkle when he looks at his charming and fascinating garden. It really matters when you see your guardian is guarding and cherishing the beauty of Nature.
By looking deep into it, I have discovered how my soul dwells on Nature to discover my self. I am eagerly waiting for the moment that would unveil the spiritual secrets.
